Car rental rates include oil & maintenance but do not include fuel
Car rental rates are subject to change without notice.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Rates

All car rental rates indicated are based on drop-off (delivery of vehicle) or pick-up (collecting of vehicle after rental period) in Mombasa town, Mombasa train station or Mombasa International airport.

One way vehicle pick-up or drop-off charges by location:

• Pick-up or drop-off in Diani - US$ 30 one way
• Pick-up or drop-off in Malindi - US$ 50 one way
• Pick-up or drop-off in Watamu - US$ 50 one way
• Pick-up or drop-off in Lamu - US$ 175 one way

The vehicle mileage (odometer readings) and fuel levels (full tank) will be based on status reflecting from our office location in Mombasa.

CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN

We offer a discreet and comfortable car rental service in the most luxurious vehicles with specially trained chauffeurs at US$ 20 per day within Mombasa, US$ 30 per day outside Mombasa and US$ 40 per day outside Kenya.

Drivers working hours are from 0800 hrs to 1800 hrs. After hours charges are US$ 5 per hour.

INSURANCE WAIVER

Third party insurance (waiver) and property damage as well as legal liability cover for passengers is included in the car rental rates. Waiver does not cover loss of tyres, side mirrors, spare tyre(s) and other tools and accessories. Any loss of tyres, side mirrors, spare tyre(s) and other tools and accessories will be paid for directly by the hirer.

TANZANIA AND UGANDA

By prior arrangements, vehicles hired in Kenya may be driven into Tanzania and Uganda.
Additional cost of US$ 375 for documentation including licenses, cross-border insurance, cross-border permits, etc will be levied over and above the car rental rate.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The hirer and/or authorised driver must have held a full and valid drivers licence for a minimum of three (3) years upto and including the time of hire and driving licence must bear no current endorsement during the last three (3) years.

A driving licence from the country of residence or any international driving licence is generally acceptable, provided the validity is as above. A hirer is requested to make a photocopy of his / her driving licence and passport and which will be retained by the company after signing of the rental agreement.

DRIVERS AGE

The hirer or authorised driver must be over 25 years of age and under 70. The hirer or authorised driver must be in possession of proper means of identification other than a driving licence. Self-drive cars are hired subject to the company's standard form of agreement.

PAYMENTS

Full payment for entire rental period is required before release of vehicle. The rental rate is based on a 24 hour cycle and any extra hour past the 24 hours mark is charged at the rate of US$ 6 (or Kenya Shillings equivalent) per hour for saloon cars, US$ 10 (or Kenya Shillings equivalent) per hour for SUV's and US$ 15 (or Kenya Shillings equivalent) per hour for 4x4 drive vehicles upto a maximum of six (6) extra hours after the initial 24 hours. Any usage past six (6) hours beyond the normal 24 hour cycle is charged as a full day rental.

COLLISON DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) & THEFT PROTECTION WAIVER (TPW)

The hirer's liability for any damage to the vehicle or loss due to theft can be reduced by 50% on payment of CDW & TPW which currently is US$ 15 per day (or Kenya Shillings equivalent) for saloon cars and US$ 25 (or Kenya Shillings equivalent) per day for 4x4 vehicles. However, the customer is still liable for the first excess of US$ 1,250 for saloon cars and US$ 2,250 for SUV's and larger 4x4 drive vehicles occasioned by damage to the vehicle or loss due to theft.

PLEASE NOTE:

Saloon cars are NOT suitable to be used on unsurfaced roads. The renter will be charged for all damages, repairs and towing charges resulting from the use of rented saloon vehicle(s) on such roads.
